This feature is technically already available on desktop, but only when right clicking the address field, not when right clicking links in the web view.
Nevertheless, it would be great to see it be implemented for links and for mobile as well.
I have to agree with @stardepp especially on larger devices like tablets.
When I type in a site name I always use "https://blah-blah-site.whatever". Would be nice if I could actually see that I got there.
I do use a tablet by the way, no phone, so my opinion is biased.
Just here to comment the same to give this a boost. I have everything including my bookmarks, passwords, etc. on Vivaldi and are synced on multiple devices. I recently switched to IOS. As an expat who is yet to learn the local language, I highly rely on translation. I don’t want to change to another browser just because of this…
@pauloaguia Thanks for responding. Yes, I want to wait for the links of the web pages in the bookmarks.
But as there is an error when saving a web page, it is saved in the favorites folder of the cell phone and not in the folder you selected earlier. I have to manually select the folder where I want to save the web pages.
@pauloaguia To be honest, I suspect that the users who post requests about Private Windows on this forum are not really using private windows for "privacy" most of the time, but instead for the wiping temporary files, cookies etc. feature, and are completely aware of what will happen. It drives me up the wall every time there are additional "features" added/disallowed in Private Windows for "privacy" that just end up being disabling reasonable functionality from regular windows. (Can someone explain why I am not able to open a New Guest Window from a Private Window, for example?!)
